Today, the second of February, is World Wetlands Day – a day on which we remember and reflect on the importance of wetlands in our environment.

This year, we’ve produced an infographic under the USAID Resilient Waters Program.  It outlines the functions of wetlands in the Matobo Hills and the regional importance of those wetlands.  We also list some of the threats faced and highlight the project’s current rehabilitation and conservation actions.  Together with stakeholders in the area, we can conserve these vital natural assets.  Also have a look at our “Towards Resilience in the Matobo Hills” project page for more information about the project.

Our Matobo Hills are so much more than “just” an arresting landscape!  Click here to see the infographic.  If you would like to learn more about how to contribute to Dambari’s ongoing conservation efforts in the Matobo Hills, please click here.
